Positive Things:
~Backlight: you can change the backlight's color via Logitech's "G-Key Profiler"
~Color LCD panel: great for getting information about your computer (CPU and RAM), games (there are only a few but sources at Logitech have made it clear they are working with game developers to release updates to support the G15 and G19 keyboards), can play VIDEOS off of your harddrive AND You Tube, get information about what song is currently playing and much, much more!
~"Gaming Mode" key: once this is enabled it DISABLES the window key, preventing you from accidentally hitting this and minimizing your game (quite useful)
~POWERED usb 2.0 ports!
~12 macro keys with 3 presets (12x3 = 36) for a total of 36 "G" keys
~"On The Fly Macro Recording" allows you to program a "G" key on the fly
Negative Things:
~Software is needed for the LCD to work....
~Not a lot of games support the LCD display YET
~Needs to be plugged into wall outlet (although you are getting a crystal clear 320x240 color display AND 2 powered USB ports out of this...)
~PRICE: comes in at 249.99CND and 199.99USD on Logitechs website
End Result.....
The end result is what I would consider to be the "Ultimate Gaming Keyboard.” It has everything you could want AND MORE; the only two down sides are the price and that games don’t really support the LCD display yet. So, if you’re in the market for a great keyboard and have 200+ to spend on a keyboard the Logitech G19 should definitively be on your list!
Note: The G19 does come with a little extension piece for the bottom of the keyboard for you hand / wrist to rest on, mine was just broken during shipment (also how I got this keyboard for 150 bucks!)
